Learning Objectives:
(What participants should accomplish in learning activity)

The participant should gain an
awareness of the issues and concerns associated with the
elderly population that require advance planning and care.

The participant shall be
provided with a broad overview of approaches to helping
people to plan prudently for the retirement years in order
to avoid many of the problems predicted in the looming
elder-care crisis facing the nation.

The participant will be able to
identify the myriad available options for long-term care,
presenting various alternative solutions to nursing home
care.

The participant will be able to
discuss some of the financial and insurance products
available to help defray the coasts of long-term care and
will also shed light on the various government benefits also
available to alleviate many of the expenses associated with
the senior population.

Throughout the participant will
gain an understanding of income, gift, and estate tax
issues.

The participant will gain
knowledge of the various legal instruments, such as wills
and powers of attorney, which are essential to intelligent
preparation fo the retirement years.

The participants should gain an
understanding about the basics of estates and trusts.
B. Program Level – BASIC
C. There is NO preparation or
advanced preparation for this seminar.
D. The seminar is a “Group-Live”
seminar. The participant is required to be present at the
seminar for the full day (8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.) to receive
full CPE credits. (8 hrs.)
E. 8 Hrs of CPE Credit will be
awarded to the individual who attends the full day seminar.
